Jennifer has been reading and writing stories for as long as she can remember. Early favorites included anything even tangentially related to food: Heckedy Peg (questionable morals; incredible cooking), The Berenstain Bears No Girls Allowed (the coolest fort known to picture books and it was in a berry patch), and Amelia Bedelia (that pie!) still make her smile.
Jennifer currently writes all sorts of stories, often involving heartfelt humor and only occasionally involving food. She was recently awarded an Honorable Mention for one of her picture book manuscripts in the 2025 PB Party. She received an Honorable Mention for her story ZOO LOVE in the 2025 Valentiny contest and an Honorable Mention for Great Detective Voice in Susanna Leonard Hill’s 2024 Holiday Writing Contest.
She is a member of the 12×12 Picture Book Writing Challenge.
When she isn’t writing for work or fun, Jennifer enjoys reading, hiking, ice cream (making, finding, contemplating, eating), and chasing after her toddler. Also puffins.
